                         How to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

One of my favorite times of the year is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  Where else do you get to see the upcoming Season’s newest fashions?   And where else do you get to shop your favorites at a discounted price?

  I love shopping this event I get to fill in/replace those much-needed basics and add some pizazz to my wardrobe.

A few things to note and some tips and tricks for shopping this event.

When can I start shopping?

7/6 Icon Early Access – If you’re Icon status, you can start shopping July 6th (online and in stores)

7/7 Ambassador Early Access – If you’re Ambassador status, you can start shopping July 7th (online and in stores)

7/9 Influencer Early Access – If you’re Influencer status, you can start shopping July 9th (online and in stores)

7/15 Public Access – If you’re not a cardholder, you can start shopping July 15th (online and in stores)

Depending on your status, you can shop the sale at 12:01 am ET / 9:01 pm PST on your designated shopping start date ONLINE or in open stores during normal business hours.

What’s My Nordy Club Status??

On a desktop, you can find your status by signing into your Nordstrom account, clicking Your Account, and clicking the tab that says “The Nordy Club” on the left side, and you’ll see your status at the top
On the Nordstrom app, log in, go to Account (bottom right), click Rewards, and you’ll see your status at the top
On a mobile browser, log in, click the three lines on the top left, click Your Account, click The Nordy Club, and you’ll see your status at the top

FAQ & Shopping Tips

This is a highly shopped sale, and many products sell out quickly.  If you shop with me, I will work to keep your choices updated.  Here are a few tips in answering your most frequently asked question surrounding the sale.

·        Will items be restocked? Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing when or if sold-out items will be restocked. But I have some tips on how to snag some items when they come back…

·        Why was my order canceled? When the sale goes live, sometimes an order will go through, but you’ll get an email later that an item or your entire order has been canceled. This is completely out my control and the best thing you can do is contact Nordstrom Customer Service by calling or starting an online chat.

·        What do I do if I haven’t gotten an order confirmation? Contact Nordstrom Customer Service by calling or starting an online chat.

·        Why isn’t the website working? Each time a new tier opens for the sale, there is a massive number of people visiting the website, which slows it down or creates an issue/error page. Be patient and continue to refresh the page until you’re able to get through or the Nordstrom team can fix the problem.

·        What size should I get? Different brands fit differently. Use the size charts, measure your inseam, bust, waist and hips when you are unsure.  You can also order 2 sizes and return the one that didn’t fit.

·        How do I make sure I get what I want?

1.       Buy high-demand items as soon as your tier becomes eligible to shop. You can check out multiple times so as soon as you have those items in your basket check out…before you browse.

2.       DO NOT do order pickup in-store for anything popular. Your order will be filled after online orders and in-store purchases. Many of these items end up getting canceled. You can certainly do this for staples that don’t typically sell out.

3.       If you want something that is sold out, check on that item multiple times a day. Or better yet have the app downloaded to your phone, save that item to favorites using the heart.  When it’s back in stock you will get an alert, make sure your alerts are ON. Many items pop back into stock in one size just for a few minutes during the sale. This is usually due to returns.

4.       If you are unsure of what size, BUY 2 sizes. You can always return whenever size does not work. Returns are easy!

5.       Similarly, if you think you like something, order it. You can always return the size that didn’t work.  Returns are easy!

6.       Make sure you’re signed into your Nordstrom account before you start shopping. Adding everything to your cart and being slowed down by having to sign in could result in sold-out items.

Here are just a few Hidden Gems I’ve been eyeing. 

Denim and Trousers.

There are so many great deals on denim and trousers it’s hard to chose just a couple. These Veronica Beard Taylor High Waist in Lakeshore do not disappoint. With a raw hem they are sure to fit most heights and a savings of almost $100 coming in at $189.90.

Another favorite is the Joes Honey Curvy Bootcut Jean. These jeans fit in all the right places and the dark denim (Rikki) takes any outfit up- a steal at $99.90

Who doesn’t want a pair of faux leather pants? These Vince Camutos look great with loafers, Chelsea boots or a point toed bootie. Loving the $65.99 price point!

I couldn’t help myself. I love Chenille bedspreads and this with the matching pillow case just speaks summer to me! A decorative cutting board is sure to dress up any kitchen. There are rectangle shapes and other designs to choose from too!

Totes, Handbags, and Beauty

This Proenza Schouler extra large coated canvas tote is beyond GORGEOUS! The Clare V. Marisol Crossbody bag goes with everything in this neutral green.

Years ago I was turned on to Trish McEvoy’s brushes - nothing compares! Invest in these you will not regret.

O.K. this was hard. But I have to say Alo is one of my new favorite brands for activewear. High quality, fit and performance. I love this high neck bra worn with the high waisted leggings.

Zella is such a player- throw this half zip over your bra and leggings for a Studio-to-Street look!

Camisoles and Skirts

These camisoles are regular stand-by’s for me and my clients. The raw edge tank adds just a touch of rebel and the 1.State pintuck cami looks great alone or under a blouse, sweater or blazer

Halogen’s faux leather midi skirt is edgy and cool yet still appropriate for the smart business look.
